My background

I am a professional counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association dedicated to child development, a calling I found through Early Childhood Education.

Human development is of the utmost importance. With years of experience in Counselling, my educational background includes a Diploma in Counselling, a Certificate in Child and Youth Counselling, a Certificate in Early Childhood, and specialisations in Family Constellation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and ADHD Management.

My therapeutic style

My therapeutic approach is child-led therapy, in which the child chooses the resource or subject to be the centre of our session, which is necessary for building rapport and engagement when working with children. As a children’s counsellor, I act as a compassionate facilitator by creating a safe space and acknowledging the experience and feelings of every young person.

My work with children is based on giving your child the ability to discover who they are as a being, their character, goals, and personality.

When using a Person-Centred approach, every step is done at their own pace. The goal is to empower your child to make the negative feelings lose their "charge", leading to regaining emotional control and the development of strategies to support difficult times.
